On December 15, 2013 Piano Quartet in A major, recently written by Lostislandic composer and former Captain Regent Stepan Ignatiev, was first performed in the House of Tchaikovsky in Moscow, on a concert arranged by the Department of Culture for the City of Moscow.
Performed by the composer himself (piano), President Yaroslav Mar (violin), Alina Vorobyova (clarinette) and Mikhail Nogin (cello), the Quartet, which consists of three parts – Allegrio con brio, Andante and Allegro vivace, was already regarded by some as one of best works of Mr. Ignatiev, and is, undoubtedly, one of the pearls in the musical heritage of the Federal Republic.
The Quartet is expected to see several more performances soon, and the Federal Republic congratulates Mr. Ignatiev on the successful premiere of his newest composition.
