The Federal Republic of Lostisland is home to several hundred individuals who proudly call themselves Lostislandic citizens and contribute to our organization. Obtaining Lostislandic citizenship is free and does not entail any additional responsibilities other than honoring and respecting Lostislandic laws and traditions. However, this does not imply that all citizenship applications will be accepted. Since April 2018 a new citizenship policy is in action, under which applicants for Lostislandic citizenship are to fulfill the following criteria:
- They are at least 16 years of age;
- They understand that the Federal Republic of Lostisland is – despite the name – an organization, not a nation-state, and as such, it is not possible to relocate to Lostisland, visit Lostisland, seek refuge, open a business, etc.;
- They demonstrate a genuine interest in partaking in Lostislandic activities and don’t apply solely because a friend, or someone else, has asked them to;
- Their membership in the organization can be beneficial for existing citizens and the applicant has a clear vision of how to participate in Lostislandic activities.
If you believe that you meet the above criteria and share our ideas, we invite you to join our team and fill in the application below. Within 30 working days (usually quicker) a Lostislandic officer will get in touch with you updating you on the status of your application and if the decision was positive, send you the electronic version of your Certificate of Citizenship. Optionally, after obtaining citizenship you may purchase a physical certificate or a plastic identity card (or both).
Important! In accordance with Presidential Decrees 5/2018 and 61/2021, citizens and residents of Pakistan and of Afghanistan are not eligible to apply for Lostislandic citizenship. Applications submitted in violation of the Decree will not be reviewed nor answered.
In accordance with Presidential Decree 42/2022, residents of Russia and Belarus are subject to sanctions and will be admitted to citizenship —other requirements notwithstanding— only after having demonstrated to the immigration authorities in a due and convincing way their negative attitude to the Russian Federation and Vladimir Putin’s policies and a record of opposition activism in these countries. The sanction applies to residents of these countries regardless of citizenship and does not not apply to Russian and Belarusian citizens overseas.
