President Yaroslav Mar signed a Decree reinstating former Director-General of the Civil Guard Kristijan Nevtonenko to Lostislandic citizenship and military rank of Ober Commissary.
Kristijan Nevtonenko, who had served as Director-General of the Civil Guard from 2018 to 2020, was dismissed from his position in March 2020 after it was revealed he had joined an undesirable organization in violation of Lostislandic laws. As is the customary procedure in such cases, his military rank and citizenship were revoked as well.
Notwithstanding that, President Mar and Nevtonenko maintained a generally amicable relationship. In July 2021, Nevtonenko expressed interest in re-joining Lostisland and remorse in his actions, after having cut ties with the organization in question.
The reinstatement to military rank, in particular, means that Nevtonenko will be allowed to wear a Lostislandic uniform once again, despite not currently holding any office.
While the process of becoming a Lostislandic citizen is relatively simple, Lostislandic officials are banned from joining other new nation projects (micronations). In addition, a list of undesirable organizations exists, membership in which is banned for all Lostislandic citizens regardless of whether or not they hold any office in Lostisland.
