Welcome to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs plays a pivotal role in Lostisland’s engagement with the international community. As a global sovereignty, the Federal Republic of Lostisland is committed to fostering connections and cooperation with peace-loving nations, states, companies, and organizations around the world.

Our History

Throughout our history, Lostisland has entered into treaties and agreements with various entities, including new nation projects and micronations. However, our foreign policy underwent a significant shift on November 19, 2014, when we decided to discontinue diplomatic relations with micronations. Exceptions to this policy are considered only under the discretion of the President.

What Do We Do

Implement the foreign policy of Lostisland

Sign agreements (together with the President)

Coordinate the activities of Lostislandic diplomats

The Role of a Lostislandic Diplomat

At the heart of Lostisland’s global outreach, Diplomats hold a crucial role. They are not just representatives; they are passionate advocates, community builders, and catalysts for change. Who Can Become an Ambassador?

Lostislandic Ambassadors are esteemed representatives of Lostisland. To join our diplomatic service, you should:

Be at least 18 years old and possess a high school degree

Not be a member of other new nation projects or micronations

Have never relinquished Lostislandic citizenship

While these criteria set the minimum requirements, meeting them doesn’t guarantee acceptance. We value active participation and commitment from our diplomatic service members.

Who Should Apply?

If you’re considering joining Lostisland’s diplomatic service, here are some key factors to keep in mind:

  • Commitment: Lostislandic Ambassadors and Consuls are not honorary titles; they are expected to contribute and deliver results. Consistency and dedication to the role are essential.
  • Time: While not a full-time position, we recommend dedicating at least three hours per week to Lostisland’s diplomatic service.
  • Diplomatic Immunity: Lostislandic Ambassadors do not have diplomatic immunity. Their status is equivalent to Goodwill Ambassadors, unless a mutual recognition treaty is signed with their country of residence.
  • Familiarity: If you’re new to Lostisland, we recommend waiting at least two weeks after obtaining citizenship to familiarize yourself with our community and mission.
  • Public Affiliation: Applicants should be comfortable with being publicly associated with Lostisland. Holding a public position means representing our values and principles.
  • Social Media: Proficiency with social media or a willingness to have someone manage the Embassy’s social media presence is important, as each Ambassador is responsible for their Embassy’s Facebook page.
  • Lostisland Citizenship: Only Lostislandic citizens may represent Lostisland, so if you’re not a citizen yet, please apply for citizenship first.
Ready to Join?

If you meet the criteria and are enthusiastic about promoting Lostisland’s values and mission, we invite you to fill out the application form below. Your application will be reviewed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Federal Intelligence & Security Service and the President. We will contact you within 30 working days.
