Prime Minister’s Core Functions

In accordance with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Lostisland, Chapter V, Art. LV, the Prime Minister assumes vital responsibilities:

Policy Implementation

The Prime Minister is tasked with translating government policy into action, ensuring that the nation’s objectives are effectively realized.

Annual Report Review

Annual reports from ministers are reviewed by the Prime Minister, offering an opportunity to evaluate progress and make informed decisions.

Nomination of Officials

Appointing key officials is a vital responsibility. The Prime Minister plays a central role in nominating ministers, judges, and the Prosecutor-General.

Promulgation of Laws

Together with the President, the Prime Minister signs and promulgates laws, contributing to the legal framework that guides our nation.
Constitutional Mandate
    1. The Federal Prime Minister shall be the head of the Government.
    2. The Federal Prime Minister shall be responsible for implementing the policy of government as decided by the Federal President.

As Prime Minister, Linhart leads Lostisland with vision and determination. He embarked on his political journey with a campaign for Deputy Prime Minister in the 2018 Snap Election alongside Elisha Mendelson. Although the campaign did not result in victory, Linhart’s resilience and commitment to public service remained undeterred. He later assumed the role of Minister of Innovation, Research, and Development in the Third Tezdzhanenko Cabinet, demonstrating his dedication to progress and innovation.

Driven by a passion for diplomacy and international relations, Linhart transitioned to the position of Ambassador to Israel, where he fosters crucial diplomatic ties. In 2022, his leadership prowess led to a significant milestone when he secured victory in the Prime Ministerial election.

Maintaining Contact

Stay in regular communication with Prime Minister Mordechai Linhart.

Citizen Support

Who Can Become a Government Minister?

Government members serve as the face of Lostisland and must uphold a strong record within our community. To join the Government, you should:

Be at least 18 years old and possess a high school degree

Not be a member of other new nation projects or micronations

Have never relinquished Lostislandic citizenship

While these criteria outline the minimum requirements, meeting them does not guarantee acceptance. We highly value active participation and dedication from our government members.

Who Should Apply?

If you’re considering joining the Government of Lostisland, here are some essential factors to consider:

  • Commitment: Government Ministers are not honorary titles; they are expected to contribute and achieve results. Consistency and dedication to the role are essential.
  • Time: While it’s not a full-time position, we recommend dedicating at least three hours per week to your government duties.
  • Diplomatic Immunity: Lostislandic Government Ministers do not possess diplomatic immunity. Their status is akin to NGO officers, unless a mutual recognition treaty is signed with their country of residence.
  • Familiarity: If you’re new to Lostisland, we recommend waiting at least two weeks after obtaining citizenship to familiarize yourself with our community and mission.
  • Public Affiliation: Applicants should be comfortable with their public association with Lostisland. Holding a public position means representing our values and principles.
  • Social Media: Proficiency with social media or a willingness to have someone manage your ministry’s online presence is important.
