President Yaroslav Mar sent a letter to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg congratulating him on the 70 Anniversary of the Organization.
Dear Secretary General,
In my capacity as President of the Federal Republic of Lostisland, a global sovereignty and a cultural and social project resembling a new country based on the ideals of freedom and democracy, allow me to deliver my sincerest congratulations on the 70th Anniversary of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
For 70 years already, the NATO is the main force defending the Free World against totalitarianism and safeguarding democracy around the globe. The contributions of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization to the promotion of democratic values cannot be overestimated, and I would like to use this opportunity to assure Your Excellency of my unconditional support to the ideals of your organization.
President Kennedy once used an expression, referring to West Berlin protected by NATO, a beacon of hope behind the Iron Curtain. As the world is on the verge of another Cold War, and the shadows of once defeated enemies of freedom and democracy are materializing again, may the NATO remain this beacon of hope for many years to come.
Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest esteem and most distinguished consideration.
