On January 25, 2015, in accordance with the Presidential Decree, the incumbent consuls of Lostisland to foreign countries were elevated to Ambassadors, effectively turning Lostislandic consulates into embassies. Particularly, the Consul to Israel Meir Kasirer became Ambassador to Israel; the Consul to France Norbert L’Hostis became Ambassador to France; the Consul to Russia Alexander Lasko became Ambassador to Russia, and the Consul to Germany Rob Meyer became Ambassador to Germany.
With the same decree, the Life President conducted the first ever appointment of a Lostislandic Ambassador, nominating Joseph Rankin (on photo left) the Ambassador of Lostisland to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The Lostislandic diplomats are responsible for representing and promoting Lostisland in their country of residence. Traditionally, upon being appointed, each diplomat receives by post the national flag of Lostisland and a series of postage stamps.
