“Our hearts go out to the people of Libya as they face this tremendous tragedy. We offer our deepest condolences during this difficult time.” — President Yaroslav Mar
The Federal Republic of Lostisland extends its heartfelt condolences to the people of Libya following the catastrophic flash floods that have resulted in an immense loss of life and widespread devastation. Triggered by the collapse of two dams and the powerful Mediterranean storm Daniel, this natural disaster has brought untold suffering to the nation.
“We are deeply saddened by the immense loss of life and the suffering that the people of Libya are enduring,” expressed President Yaroslav Mar. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost loved ones and the countless others who are grappling with the consequences of this tragedy.”
The scale of the catastrophe, particularly the collapse of the dams in the mountains above Derna, has caused extensive damage to the city. Reports indicate that the floodwaters have engulfed up to a quarter of Derna.
The international community has swiftly responded with humanitarian aid and relief efforts to assist Libya during this trying time. However, the Federal Republic of Lostisland, due to its lack of physical presence in Libya, is unfortunately unable to provide direct assistance.
“While we may not have the capacity for physical assistance in Libya, please know that our hearts are with you,” noted President Mar. “Libya’s strength and resilience in the face of this disaster are truly admirable.”
As Libya embarks on the path to recovery and healing, the Federal Republic of Lostisland remains a friend and supporter of the Libyan people. Lostisland continues to uphold its principles of compassion and unity, ready to assist and collaborate with Libya in any way that may be needed.
“During this difficult moment, we want the people of Libya to know that they are not alone,” President Mar reiterated. “Our hearts go out to you, and we share in your grief and sadness.”
The Federal Republic of Lostisland, guided by its principles of compassion and unity, expresses its deepest condolences and stands in solidarity with Libya during this period of great sorrow.
