Lostisland Establishes the Order of the Silver Dove

January 1, 2025Staff
On the first day of 2025, President Yaroslav Mar signed Presidential Decree 1/2025, officially establishing the Order of the Silver Dove: a new chivalric order designed to honor those who have made exceptional contributions to Lostisland or fostered its ideals of unity, diplomacy, and cultural exchange. This significant step reinforces Lostisland’s system of national honors and creates a cornerstone for recognizing exemplary dedication and achievement.

Insignia of the Order of the Silver Dove, the newest chivalric order of Lostisland, designed by the Ministry of Information & Cultural Affairs.

The Order of the Silver Dove is positioned in Lostisland’s hierarchy of awards below the Order of the White Pigeon and above the Presidential Citation of Merit. While the Order of the White Pigeon remains the highest distinction associated with Lostisland, it has never been conferred. As a joint order shared with Pavlov, the Order of the White Pigeon serves a symbolic purpose, whereas the Order of the Silver Dove stands as Lostisland’s own cornerstone of recognition, reflecting its independent values and traditions.

President Mar, reflecting on the significance of the new order, remarked:

“The Order of the Silver Dove is a testament to our gratitude and respect for those who exemplify the ideals of Lostisland. It reflects the spirit of unity, cultural exchange, and dedication that define our nation.”

The inaugural class of the Order of the Silver Dove includes foreign heads of state, prominent Lostisland officials, private citizens, and non-citizens alike, whose exceptional contributions have profoundly advanced Lostisland’s mission and ideals. These individuals are now recognized as Knights and Dames of the Silver Dove, entitled to use the postnominals KSD and DSD.

The first recipients of the order are:

  • H.I.M. Emperor Ivan VII, Empire of Pavlov
  • H.I.&R.A.M. Emperor Oscar I, Karno-Ruthenian Empire
  • H.M. Queen Carolyn, Royal Republic of Ladonia
  • H.R.H. Grand Duke Nicholas, Grand Duchy of Flandrensis
  • H.R.H. Grand Duke Travis, Grand Duchy of Westarctica
  • H.S.H. Prince Jean-Pierre IV, Principality of Aigues-Mortes
  • H.S.H. Duke Jonathan of Sweetpea Valley, Empire of Austenasia
  • H.G. Duke Olivier de Constance, Principality of Aigues-Mortes
  • Rt. Hon. Mordechai Moshe Linhart, Prime Minister, Chief Rabbi, and Ambassador to Israel
  • Hon. Iliyan Kostov, Minister of Foreign Affairs
  • Hon. Mathias L. Mayaan-Baruch, Minister of Information & Cultural Affairs
  • Hon. Theodor Saradjev, Minister of the Interior
  • Hon. Rob Meyer, Ambassador to the United States
  • Hon. Kit Llorca, Ambassador to the Philippines
  • Ààrẹ Babatunde Odofin
  • Ms. Maria Schellenberg
  • Mr. Harsh Vardhan Jain

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been tasked with ensuring that the insignia of the Order is delivered to the recipients in the coming months. Efforts will also be led by the Ministry of Information & Cultural Affairs to highlight the Order’s significance and its role in promoting Lostisland’s cultural and diplomatic heritage.

As the first order uniquely Lostislandic in nature, the Order of the Silver Dove reaffirms the nation’s commitment to recognizing excellence and fostering unity. It stands as a lasting symbol of distinction, honoring those who uphold the highest ideals of dedication, diplomacy, and cultural exchange.
