The Federal Republic of Lostisland commenced today the issuance of plastic Identity Cards; made in full accordance with the ICAO standards, they’re available for purchase to any Lostislandic citizen from the official online store.
To date, the only physical way Lostislandic citizens were able to show their affiliation was by obtaining the Citizenship Certificate; will this option still remains and will remain available, it’s no longer the only one as a joint project of the Presidency, the Federal Government and of the Lostislandic Embassies in Brazil, Pakistan and Uruguay to start issuing Identity Cards was successfully implemented.
As per the ICAO regulations, the Lostislandic Identity Cards contain personal data of the citizenship, such as full name, sex, date of birth, status within Lostisland (R for regular citizens, S (service) for government employees and D for diplomats and high-ranked officials), as well as citizen’s photo, a scan of signature and a machine-readable text. The winning design of the card was chosen by a Universal voting of the Lostislandic citizens.
The Federal Government shall soon expand the range of plastic Lostislandic documents, with Diplomatic Cards being available soon to the Lostislandic diplomats; the possibility of introducing more documents is presently under consideration.
