FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – it was just announced by the Ministry of Transport of the Federal Republic that a second expedition to Hunter Island is to start around the 10 of August 2016.
The expedition will be headed by Minister of Transport Capt. Martin Legof accompanied by a crew of about six volunteer seamen on Doña Catharina vessel, the flagship of the Lostislandic Navy commissioned for the expedition. Like the previous time an attempt will be made to debark on the island and plant the Lostislandic flag on there together with a capsule containing a message from the Life President and an up-to-date list of citizens.
As per decision of the Life President, every citizen of Lostisland will be given an opportunity to have his message delivered and planted on Hunter Island, and we encourage the citizens willing to leave their message on an island to submit it via the Contact form until the 25 of June. The submitted messages will be afterwards printed and brought on board the Doña Catharina.
The first expedition to Hunter Island took place in July 2012 with the Sylfia vessel, the then flagship of Lostisland, but was unable to debark on the island due to unfavorable weather conditions. A second expedition has been in mind since that, and we will be covering all the important steps of the preparation process and the expedition itself on our website.
