His Excellency Robert Meyer, the Ambassador of Lostisland to the United States, announced on his Facebook page he had tested positive for COVID-19.
The Ambassador is experiencing mild symptoms, such as cough, congestion, muddled taste and smell. He remains in self-isolation at home.
Ambassador Meyer is the first Lostislandic official to contract COVID-19 and third Lostisland’s coronavirus case overall. The previous two citizens who had contracted the disease successfully recovered in May 2020.
The Ambassador’s test returned positive the same day President Donald Trump tested positive for coronavirus. However, this is likely coincidental, as the Ambassador and the American President haven’t interacted nor attended any events together within the last two weeks.
President Yaroslav Mar sent the Ambassador his wishes of a quick recovery. Updates on the Ambassador’s health will be posted as they become available.
