The Life President signed a Decree appointing Dr. Andrej Golubew MD the Ambassador to the Russian Federation, replacing the previous Ambassador Alexander Lasko.
H.E. Amb. Dr. Andrej Golubew MD, A Russian oncologist and medical advisor, joined Lostisland in 2017 and served as Minister of Health in the third Tezdzhanenko cabinet from 2018 to 2020. In May 2019 he participated in a meeting with Robert Meyer, the Ambassador of Lostisland to the United States who paid a visit to Moscow to meet the Lostislandic diaspora.
H.E. Amb. Alexander Lasko was appointed the Consul-General to Russia in December 2014 and promoted to Ambassador a month after, alongside the rest of the Lostislandic Consuls-General.
Russia is considered the birthplace of Lostisland, and even though Russian Lostislandians no longer constitute a majority, they still maintain a plurality.
The Ambassador of Lostisland is the highest official representing Lostisland in a particular country, responsible for speaking on behalf of the Lostislandic Government, coordinating the activities of resident Lostislandic citizens, and establishing a dialogue with local authorities and organizations. As of now, fourteen Lostislandic Ambassadors have been appointed. Dedicated citizens who live in a country without official Lostislandic representation and who believe they have the necessary skills and connections are invited to contact the Lostislandic Government and submit their candidacies for becoming the Ambassadors of Lostisland.
