Lostisland Post, the national postal operator of the Federal Republic of Lostisland, has released today its Series 2019 stamps. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the issue was delayed by nearly a year.
As is customary for the Lostislandic postal tradition, one stamp is issued each year with the most recent portrait of the Life President, and commemorative stamps are issued to honor the anniversaries of birth or death of important historical figures. In 2019 the national operator commemorated the 45th anniversary of the death of Argentine president Juan Peron, the 100th anniversary of the birth of his spouse and national icon Eva (Evita) Peron, and the 125th anniversary of the death of Spanish composer Emilio Arrieta – one of the greatest zarzuela masters of the XIX century.
Since its establishment in 2012, Lostisland Post has been issuing new stamps every year, usually around May, and sometimes twice a year. To date, the most well-known Lostislandic stamps are Series 2017 Genghis Khan, popular among Mongolian stamp collectors.
The new Lostislandic stamps are already available for purchase, in sheets and individually, from the official online store.
