At June 20, 2013 after two months of preliminary studies and a week of reconstruction, the new website for the Federal Republic of Lostisland has been presented.
Developed to replace the outdated old website, the new one was totally re-written, and comes with a responsive design and multiple features, such as:
- The Lostislandic Checkpoint – for the purpose of enhancing interaction between citizens, a new system, The Lostislandic Checkpoint, has been implemented on the website, which aside from the traditional newsfeed, contains a full-fledged social network, designed especially for the needs of the Federal Republic.
- Shop – although the first attempt to build an online store for Lostisland had been made back on the old website, system’s limited technical capabilities resulted in user unfriendliness and inconvenience, which forced Lostisland Post, Lostisland’s national post provider, to put its stamps on sale through a PayPal button. Now, when Lostisland provides with a decent online store, new national products can be put on sale.
- New Citizenship Application Form – contrary to the form used on the old website, which no longer complied with the immigration requirements of Lostisland, implemented on the new website Citizenship Application Form provides simple, yet effective way of applying for Lostislandic citizenship to anyone interested.
- New content – as stated above, content for the new website has been written from scratch, most notably the History page for which various researches were done and which now contains the most detailed and accurate information about the history of Lostisland.
While the website is already considered as open to general public, minor updates still will be following, including the addition of new pages and if necessary, troubleshooting. The Federal Republic would appreciate any feedbacks on the new website through the Contact form or E-mail.
