Sigismundas Knuševitskis, known at home as Fim, reposed in the Lord at the Presidency of Lostisland on October 28, 2019, at 3 AM Moscow time, after a debilitating illness. Born May 6, 2004, he was the first and only State Cat of Lostisland, regarded as a national symbol alongside the Flag, the Coat of Arms and the National Anthem.
Adopted as a kitten by the President’s father, Sigismundas witnessed the development of Lostisland since its very beginning. He is survived by the Presidential family and an unrelated female cat Taïs, adopted in 2017. He will be remembered as a loyal pet, a faithful friend and a great mind, unmatched by any other feline the President had ever known. Seven days of national mourning, starting today, were decreed by the President.
Arrangements are under the care of the Presidential family. Online condolences may be entered at condolences@lostisland.org and will be uploaded to this page.

To Your Excellence, President of Lostisland,
We offer our deep condolences on the loss of Sigismundas Knuševitskis, and hope you begin to find comfort after the national period of mourning.
Please also accept our sincerest apologies for the belated message.
We ourselves have two pets, who we are certain are not as loyal, faithful and as of a great mind as Fim must have been.
R.I.P. dear Fim.
Respectfully yours,
