Mordechai Linhart, Jyoti Sawhney elected PM and DPM

Lostisland is a direct democracy. We don’t have a specific legislature: all Lostislandic citizens above 18 are members of the imaginary “parliament”. However — like other parliamentary republics — we elect our Prime Minister by a parliamentary vote. As a result of these two factors, the Prime Minister of Lostisland is elected on a universal voting of all eligible citizens.
Prime Minister Maria Ostroukhova resigned for personal reasons on 14 May 2022, after just 8 days in office. This means that, for the second time in a year, Lostislandic citizens will be electing their Prime Minister.
The Federal Prime Minister shall be elected for a term of four years by citizens of the Federal Republic of Lostisland on the basis of universal equal and direct suffrage by secret ballot.Constitution of the Federal Republic of LostislandChapter V, Art. LV
According to Article LVI of the Constitution, any citizen of the Federal Republic of Lostisland not younger than 18 years of age may be elected Federal Prime Minister. Because the Prime Minister is not an appointed position, unlike with ordinary Ministers or Ambassadors, there is no ban on holding other micronational citizenships. There is also no limit on the number of terms for the Prime Minister: we trust our citizens to make the right choice.
Lostislandic elections are strictly online-only: in a nation scattered all over the world, there is no way to organize physical polling stations. The provider of our 2022 snap election is ElectionBuddy: one of the world’s most popular, easy-to-use, and secure voting platforms, which we also used for the 2018 election. Each citizen will receive the ballot by email that you indicated in your citizenship application.
There is no such thing as “register to vote” in Lostisland: if you are a Lostislandic citizen, your email is already in our electronic database.
