Compatriots! My civilian duty leaves me with no option but to make a tough and important decision. I’m announcing a criminal investigation against Prime Minister Denys Tezdzhanenko for allegations of corruption, vote rigging and coordination with a hostile foreign power during the 2018 election.
We all remember how the voting website suddenly became inaccessible for Lostislandic citizens in Russia mere hours before the start of the election. We know that many Russian Lostislandians were therefore unable to cast their vote. We know that the second round between Tezdzhanenko and his opponent Elisha Mendelson saw a record low turnout, and that Tezdzhanenko was elected with a margin of merely four votes. Put the facts together and there is one conclusion: only the Prime Minister Tezdzhanenko has the means, the motive and the record to carry out this chain of events.
I realize this investigation may cost me my job, yet someone needs to be the skirmisher if we want to rid Lostisland of corruption which has been plaguing our organization for over a decade. I’m convinced that highly likely the man behind this corruption is none other than Prime Minister Tezdzhanenko. He claims to be “cleaning out the rat nest”, yet he is conspiring with a foreign power to meddle with our elections. He claims to be leading the fight against corruption, yet he brags about never fulfilling his election promises. He claims that our government is corrupt, yet it’s he who has been heading it for years. He ran on a platform to take Lostisland back from corrupt elitists, but it was none other than him who was and still is leading those elitists.
In order to fulfill my mission I will need the support of each and every Lostislandian. Only together can we restore the rule of law and justice in Lostisland. For justice is the rock upon which will we build a new Lostisland, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
